TICK-OFFSET
You can also visit the
videos page for a complete tutorial on this feature.
'Offset' causes an opposing bet to be sent automatically, immediately after a manually entered bet is fully matched. For example, suppose you put a tick in the box next to 'Offset' and set a value of 1 tick. Then you enter a back bet at odds of 4.2. The system will automatically enter a lay bet 1 tick lower at 4.1 using the same stake (sent immediately after the back bet is fully matched).
Offset is a global setting that applies to all bets manually entered on the grid or ladder. It does not apply to automated bets placed by the robot, nor to greening bets. Offset is applied to bets when they are sent, so unticking it does not turn it off for bets that have already been sent, they will still be offset (unless you cancel them before they are matched). Likewise, ticking offset on will not retrospectively apply offsetting to any bets that have already been sent prior to that time.
Tick-Offset Settings
Green
Offset with 'green' ticked means that the offset bet will have an appropriate stake to distribute the profits across all results.
For example (assuming you have chosen 1 tick as the offset size):
Green ticked:
- Original bet: Back £10 at 4
- Offset bet (sent when the original bet is matched): Lay £10.26 at 3.9
- Equals £0.26 profit whatever the result.
Green not ticked:
- Original bet: Back £10 at 4
- Offset bet (sent when the original bet is matched): Lay £10 at 3.9
- Equals £1 profit if the runner wins, zero profit if the runner loses
Partial
Offset with partial ticked means that it does not wait for the original bet to be fully matched, it will send offset bets for each partial match of the original bet. The minimum size of a batch of partial matches to trigger the offset, can be configured in the settings.
